I do think there are some perfect things in the world. Some perfect designs, some perfect tools, some perfect cars, some perfect cameras, some perfect lifestyles etc. But the thing is this: once you get perfect, it quickly gets boring.

Then is the search for perfect a waste of time?

I think so. Because even if you discover perfect, you will quickly bore of it. Then perhaps this is another plus one for satisficing, that is, just using 80% good enough and sticking with it.
