My Thoughts on the Future of Education

The brave new world of education:

First of all… we have proven we can still teach (although not as effectively) online vs in person. Certainly the in person learning experience will always be superior but I’m more interested in this notion:

What do we *really* want out of education?

We send our kids to school… but for what? Towards what ends? Job training? Life training? Free baby sitting? Knowledge and wisdom augmentation? What exactly?

The end-game is wisdom

Job training should perhaps be done at apprenticeships, trade schools, or just getting an internship and doing the work “in real life”. You best learn by doing. Thus for a simple thought:

The purpose of education should be to awaken the mind, spirit, body, and soul of each and every student to the maximum.
