My practical ideas and thoughts:
0. How to select your personal favorite photos
First, you gotta choose photos you care for. I personally like to use iPad and Dropbox to look through my photos, save them to my camera roll, then upload them to my blog, or airdrop them to my laptop to further organize.
1. Photograph your own country
For me, this is America.
2. Capture your feelings and your mood
3. Variety is the spice of life
Capture a variety of subject matter.
4. Aim for longevity
Will these photos still move me 10, 20, 30 years from now?
5. Allow the project to change and evolve
The only thing I suggest:
Try to keep the aesthetic look consistent throughout the project.
For example, a very simple idea:
For a certain photo project, try to stick to the same camera, lens, focal length, processing style, color or black and white, etc.
But ultimately — even visual inconsistency doesn’t matter THAT much. What matters more:
You are still hungry to shoot more!
