There is no such thing as innate exceptionalism. We gain exceptional through our hard work, industry, and courage.

What if we only believed in hard work?

This is the great thought:

Genetics doesn’t exist. Only hard work does.

If this is the case, then we have 100% control to direct our lives however we please.

Of course privilege exists

The funny thing:

Often privileged kids turn out the worst.

For example, rich kids in my high school had no ambition, no drive, and were quite depressed. A lot got addicted to drugs and weird stuff. I was much poorer, but much happier!

Be grateful for misfortune!

A life without misfortune ain’t a life worth living.
