It isn’t about how good you are as an artist, all that matters is the quantum of creative courage you got!

For example, if you want to innovate as an artist, you must have the courage to do something different, weird, and unique (at the risk of others hating you).

For example:

1. The creative courage of Kanye West to say or rap what’s on his mind
2. Steve Jobs to have the creative courage to NOT have USB ports or other nonsense on the iPhone or iPad.
3. William Klein for the courage to NOT to make “sharp” and pretty photos. Klein as innovating the out of focus, gritty, and raw monochrome aesthetic.
