What do I do once I no longer have any apps to uninstall?

Try going out without your phone. I lived 2 years without a phone (while in Vietnam) and to be frank I think it was a “net positive” for me. I was far more focused, could concentrate better, and far less interrupted with the constant connectivity of the internet and 4g.

Another realization:

Get an iPhone without a phone plan. It’s the ultimate mini tablet/iPad/productivity device.

Phones are great because you can fit them in your front pocket. You can write on it (IA WRITER), blog on it, look at your photos, sketch (Zen Brush 2, Procreate), and of course shoot photos.

It seems the primary downside of a phone is this:

Being constantly interrupted, distracted, or losing your focus or train of thought.

Phone minimalism exercises

Experiments you can do:

  1. On the weekends leave your phone at home.
  2. When going to the gym, leave the phone, headphones at home.
  3. When traveling don’t get international data or sim card.
  4. When you’re not using the phone, keep it on airplane mode.
  5. Uninstall all social media apps and email, uninstall Netflix and YouTube from your phone.
  6. Even experiment uninstalling Spotify or music from your phone.
  7. When going to bed charge your phone in a separate bedroom. If you need alarm clock get a standalone alarm clock.

Uninstall superfluous apps from your laptop/iPad/tablet
