Simple photo composition to add to your arsenal: the spiral.
0. Why spiral composition?

Spiral is great, because it shows movement, vigor, and life.
Photos which motivate me to move are good photos. Photos that give me wings to my feet are good photos.
1. Spiral in moving subject.

This photo of Cindy walking down the stairs. Note the layers of movement in the photo:
The movement of the photo suggests Cindy will continue to move right, and therefore down the stairs the bottom-right corner:

2. How to shoot spiral compositions
A suggestion: shoot stairways, and photograph while you’re walking downwards with your subjects. Blur + spiral in a staircase is good.
Or you can do the “fishing techniqueâ€: find a good spiral background, and wait until your subject appears.
