Why Share?

As kids we are told ‘sharing is caring, it can be fun!’

But as adults– what is the pragmatic upside of sharing? Why share at all? How do we benefit from sharing?

My basic idea is this:

Share from your overflowing bounty of epicness. Don’t “self-sacrifice” in order to share.

1. You gain more strength and power (the more you share!)

This is what I’ve learned for myself:

The more I share, the more self-confidence I gain.

2. When you share something, you can move ‘onto the next one’

Do you photograph to remember or photograph to forget?

In some ways, once you share something, you can let it exit the ‘cache’ of your brain. This means you can forget it (release lightness in your mind), in order to create anew!

Thus as a simple formula:

  1. Create
  2. Share
  3. Forget/create anew!

3. We desire to impact/effect other people

We delight in feedback. This is why I created arsbeta.com ; to create a creatively constructive community in which we can all continue to grow as visual artists and photographers.

A big thing:

We have great delight in witnessing our art-works impact/effect other people.
