Eternal Creativity

Eternal life… in order to do what?

Let’s say we discovered the secret of immortality and eternal life.

Let us assume we looked 10,000 or even 100,000 years ahead of ourselves.

What would we do with all this time? What would we want to do for eternity? Would we simply be bored to death, and want to commit suicide after a certain while? Or would we still have new and epic goals to strive towards?

An eternity of creation

If I had eternity, what I would probably do is a combination of these things:

  1. Continually innovate, improvise, in all of my artistic forms of expression. Photography, painting, calligraphy, sculpture, architecture, music, dance, poetry — I would embrace it all! And perhaps even create NEW forms of self expression which do not yet exist.
  2. Physical strengthening: Seeing how strong I can become in deadlift, squats, dumbbell press, chin-ups, etc.
  3. Exploration: To endlessly explore our planet, other planets— thriving in exploration, discovery, and conquest of new places!
  4. Social: Living in a world of eternity without friends or loved ones wouldn’t be a life worth living. Deepen certain social bonds, friendships, etc.

Taking this back to reality

Now — taking these simple concepts, how can you extrapolate this to your everyday life?

Treat everyday like a mini lifetime, and imagine the “eternal recurrence” of everyday, for ever.

How would you thrive? Be joyful? Find happiness and optimism? To have a permanently elevated and lofty mood?

Let us memento mori of our short and uncertain lives, but let us also memento vivere (remember to live) for ourselves and the future!

BECOME STRONGER!
