Workshop Overview
I am excited to announce that I will be teaching this workshop alongside Josh White, an acclaimed street photographer from Korea. The workshop will consist of presentations from both of us with insightful tips and techniques for shooting captivating street photographs. In addition, the workshop will be less lecture-based and more focused on group discussion and interaction.
During the workshop you will be able to showcase your street photography, and get helpful comments and critiques from fellow street photographers. Not only that, but you will meet other supportive and passionate street photographers that will continue to help you even after the workshop.
What differentiates this street photography workshop with other workshops is that it will cover practical tips and tricks of how to shoot on the streets. Therefore it is focused more on shooting and less on theory.
What we will cover
Eric Kim
On both days you will have the opportunity to apply what you learn through an accompanied on-the-street photography assignment with myself and Josh White. After the outing, you will get your best images commented and critiqued by myself and the rest of the participants.
Not only will you learn how to shoot on the streets with more confidence, you will also learn how to choose your best work and post-process your images via Lightroom 3 and how to create beautiful black and white images with Silver Efex Pro.
Although street photography can be intimidating, this workshop will teach you the practical skills on how to become more courageous and bold. You will learn how to capture “the beauty in the mundane” through candid images of people in their ordinary environments. Street photography is a wonderful craft, and this workshop will be helpful for those who want to get their feet wet!
