Don’t just build your kingdom on quicksand for another platform. Build your own platform!

For example,

1. Make a direct line of communication with your followers and fans: Email newsletter via Mailchimp
2. Own your own publishing platform: Your photography website and blog (not Facebook or Instagram).
3. Your own community forum (I use the Forum engine theme for WordPress, for ERIC KIM FORUM).
