“Create Your Unique Street Photography Project” Advanced Workshop in Singapore (1/14-1/15)
Are you stuck in a creative rut and want to take your street photography to the next level?
If so, I’d like to invite you to my very special advanced street photography workshop upcoming in Singapore on 1/14-1/15 in association with Leica Camera Asia Pacific. We will be studying street photography projects in-depth, by seeing many inspirational examples from Magnum photographers and contemporary street photographers. Through the workshop, we will brainstorm together and embark on a creative street photography project, and make a small online book of your work from the workshop (via Blurb) by the end of the workshop! This workshop will help you create a photo project, shoot it, and sequence and edit it.
Both days will be packed with learning, inspiration, and most importantly- shooting!
Schedule of the workshop:
The 1st Day:
Jeff and Mattei shooting the streets of Tokyo
On the first day, we will all be meeting together and introducing ourselves to one another over breakfast and coffee. Afterwards, we will be able to review our portfolios with one another, and identify the strengths and weaknesses in our work- and what we can improve on. Then I will lead a presentation on shooting street photography projects and essays, and we will be able to study in-depth the work of famous Magnum and contemporary street photographers.
We will then brainstorm an idea we have for a small street photography project we will embark on for the workshop. We will then hit the streets together, and spend the rest of the day shooting and collecting images that will work for our project.
The 2nd Day:
Mattei shooting in my Los Angeles Street Photography Workshop
On the second day, we will meet in the morning and discuss our first day of shooting on the streets. Then after more coffee and a light breakfast, we will once again hit the streets to get more photos for our project.
In the evening, we will then meet together and work on editing and sequencing our images for our project. With the assistance of one another, we will then make a final selection of images we will put into a Blurb book, and have a small collection of images shot from the workshop.

Testimonials
You can read a list of all my testimonials here.
“Eric Kim is an extremely down to earth individual. He truly has an immense amount of passion for what he does. His electricity and enthusiasm inspired me to become the best street photographer I could possibly be. I had the honor of attending his Street Photography Workshop in LA and it was one decision I will never regret. Eye opening to say the least. Hands on training and a great foundation for anyone who even has the slightest interest in street photography. The anxiety and fear that once froze me has been completely obliterated and I have the confidence to go out and hit the streets and “See the Beauty in the Mundane”. Thanks Eric” -Derriel Almario
“Eric just exudes enthusiasm for street photography that is contagious. He’s a great teacher and makes it fun to learn. I enjoyed his workshop and learned more than I expected. I also enjoyed walking and shooting with him. He is well informed and presents the subject very well. I would definitely sign up for another workshop.” - Rinzi Ruiz
“Eric Kim is a talented street photographer and a wonderful human being. He also is a very giving person and is very willing to share his photographic knowledge with anyone who asks. After becoming mesmerized by his wonderful street photography, I enrolled in his beginner street photography workshop and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I look forward to attending more workshops in the future.” - Rob LaRosa
