Why I’m So Prolific

Prolific: creating much, sharing much.

1. I’m infinitely curious

Curiosity is the best disease. The deeper you venture, the deeper you fall into the endless pit of creativity.

Don’t limit your creativity — explore all domains of knowledge and art (photography, sculpture, literature, dance, music, philosophy, architecture, internet — everything!)

2. Figure it out as you go.

Consider everything in life as a “work in progress”. Like arsbeta.com (your life and artwork is always in beta mode!)

Don’t seek finality or perfection. Seek to constantly get lost in the Dionysian state of flux, change, and Phoenix-like creation!

3. Audio, visual, public stimulation

Indulge yourself in anything and everything — and embrace all forms of external stimuli: music, temperature irregularities (benefit of cold showers and hot sauna at the gym), music on speakers (and bass heavy headphones), lots of black coffee and caffeine, and the randomness you experience in public places (in praise of hanging out in cool coffee shops).

4. No social media

Blogging via your own platform, and not using social media (no Facebook, no Instagram). Not getting distracted by likes and follower numbers. Only creating what interests you!

5. Overcoming boredom

For myself, the active flow of creation is 100x more fun and entertaining than passive consumption of media.

My simple idea of “producerism”:

Spend 90% of your time actively creating, and 10% of your time consuming external media.

And also remember — the purpose of consuming external media is in order to create more of your own art works!

Conclusion: When I’m so happy

Prototype PYTHON Henri Neck Strap

To me, happiness is creative productivity. The more I create, the happier I am!

Of course what works for me won’t work for you. But I encourage you to never stop experimenting with your own personal mode of life, in order for you to thrive to the maximum!
