With abstract photography or art; I think the secret is looking for faces in things (eyes, heads, etc).

For example, I think why people like car design is because cars look like faces! You got 2 eyes, a grille (teeth), and other facial characteristics that look like a human.

Why I like abstract art

For myself, I like abstract art because I need to use my brain to interpret the images/paintings, and because it is more fun for me as a viewer!

For example the work of Franz Kline is my favorite; I see faces and human shapes everywhere!

Thus perhaps the reason why abstract photography is fun is because it engages the viewer to come up with their own interpretation of the image!
