Seek Resistance

Why you need resistance if you desire to get stronger:

Dear friend,

Simple idea:

To become stronger in life, let us seek resistance, rather than trying to avoid resistance.

"Resistance training"

For example in physical fitness, there is a notion of "resistance training"; the idea that if you want your muscles to get stronger, you must increase the resistance, the difficulty, or weight of whatever exercise you’re doing.

For example, if I want my muscles to get stronger, I must increase the resistance; increase the weight. For example I would increase the weights of the barbell from 415 pounds to 420 pounds (increase the resistance by 5 pounds), and attempt to deadlift it.

Now, whether I succeed or fail to lift the barbell off the ground is besides the point. I think the idea that you’re attempting to push your (previous) limit is interesting to me.

For example in business, increasing your prices or rates is interesting; to establish a new level.

Or in your photography, to always push your limits, and to seek to ascend to a new level.

And this is the point of life:

Always strive to increase our level until we die.

Real life is better than a video game, because in video games you cap out at level 99 and cannot go any further. With real life, you can ascend to perhaps level 1,200+; to infinity and beyond!

Resistance is good. ERIC
