Abstract

You Are Hydra.

Dear friend,

A thought–

Think of yourself like hydra. You cut off one neck; and three will sprout out from that stump!

1. Turn pain into power

When life throws you shit, or harms you– channel that pain into more strength!

For example in the Black Panther film, Black Panther had a unique kinetic suit. If you punched, attacked, or shot Black Panther– his suit would store that kinetic energy. And at the snap of his fingers, Black Panther would be able to channel that energy and explode it at will!

Thus, a simple idea:

When life gives you pain; channel that pain into power and something positive!

For example, remember the Nietzsche saying:

“That which does not destroy me only makes me stronger.”

For example, all the pain and suffering I experienced in the past actually transformed me in a positive way– it actually made me stronger. The pain from my past tempered and annealed my soul– it made me stronger.

For example, imagine you like a pile of wood. When life throws black tar at you (pain and suffering), you can actually channel this in a positive way. You can then ignite that black tar (fuel), to become a stronger and hotter-roaring fire!

2. We are hungry for challenges

Abstract

A life without pain, suffering or difficulty is a life not worth living.

If you want to become Muhammad Ali– you actually need to face difficult opponents, in order to become stronger!

So if you are Hydra; you actually want people to cut off your necks. Because if someone cuts off one of your necks, you will sprout 3 in that stump!

3. Turn constraints into creativity

Another idea:

When you have constraints in life– like constraints in terms of time, resources, money, etc– use that constraint in order to be creative!

For example, let us say you have a great idea. Perhaps the lack of the money is the ingredient necessary in order to be creative and innovative!

4. Subtract options

Or another idea– perhaps artificial scarcity is something which helps us be more innovative.

For example, when Steve Jobs said that the iPhone would only have 1 home button– it forced a lot of innovation!

Similarly speaking– in trying to get rid of the home button on the iPhone X — that gave birth to so many new UI-UX innovations!

So whenever you have a lack of options, money, time– ask yourself:

How can I channel these constraints into something positively creative?

Be Hydra.
