A technique to use in street photography: get close to your subject, keep clicking (until your subject notices you).

Why keep shooting until your subject notices you?

The purpose of this technique is that sometimes you’re not sure whether a candid photograph or a photograph of your subject noticing you will be better.

Therefore my suggestion is this:

When you identify an interesting potential street photography scene, keep clicking, getting closer, and “working the scene” from different angles, distances, and perspectives. Then when your subject notices you, say hello, wave at them, keep clicking, smile, and tell them why you are photographing them.
