Why Be Creative Every Day?

Dear friend,

Why be creative everyday?

In photography, to shoot the pain away.
When skies are Grey, to know that today will be a better day.

To assert control and autonomy over your own life.
To make visual images in your own image, with your own visual knife.

To not fight against fate
But rather to look at the world and say, “It is a great!”

To make art is to elate, and elevate your soul.
To make art, is to know that you can create your own world.

To me, we gotta make art to stay alive.

To me, we gotta make art to find hope and optimism in today, and tomorrow.

To me, we gotta be creative everyday. Which means, to CREATE everyday.

To create a photo everyday. To create a sketch everyday. To dance and sing everyday.

To make art in your own boring town, rather than travel on a fancy “vacay” to run away from the pain of everyday.

How to be more creative everyday?

Don’t just yourself. Don’t talk, just BUILD!

Build your own creative home online, by making your own photo blog. I use 1and1.com and WordPress.org. If that’s too hard, just use WordPress.com. Don’t be stuck in the social media prison (Facebook, Instagram) which are closed platforms, and anti open information and access (meaning people will not find your photos on your Instagram or Facebook through a Google search).

Secondly, PUBLISH more of your work! Even though your stuff is imperfect, that’s cool. Just make your own creative jewels, and share them with friends and family.

If your 1 piece of artwork (which includes pictures) can bring joy or smile to someone’s face, IT DESERVES TO BE SHARED.

So friend have confidence in yourself. Don’t care about perfection. We’re all gonna die anyways.

And like Heraclitus says, we are just children at the beach, building sand castles. The beauty of a sandcastle (our lives and our art) is that it will eventually flow back into the sea.

BE CREATIVE EVERYDAY,
