This is the third installment of my Istanbul Street Photography GoPro POV videos.
Two of my other Istanbul GoPro Street Photography POV’s:
“No, no, no, no, no…”
“No? (click) No? Oh, sorry.”
Haha glad you enjoyed it B!
Loved these! I’d love to see you tackle a college campus sometime, I went back to school myself this week but so far I’ve been too chicken to go up as close to people as you do.
good idea. try Bogazici university bebek campus.. that will be a master peace :)
I’ve shot on my campus before.. it’s no different..just do it. ;)
You photos are good but I wonder if you aware of the discomfort you’r causing to people.
Can you do that in the US?
Of course you can.
Sure you can. But I bet you will pay the price for making people uncomfortable :)
Then why ask the question if you are so sure??
Even though your statements are vague.. I’m assuming you are suggesting someone will use physical violence against me.. Yea it’s possible.. Has it ever happened?? No. You can just be walking down the street and someone jump you.. Does SP increase the chances?? Maybe.. I can describe scenarios in my personal experience where you would have sworn I would have gotten punched.. (they were drunk and just got in a fight with someone else) but it just hasn’t happen.. just be smart about it.
Although I don’t do what Eric does .. but I keep moving .. I don’t sit and take 6 frames of the same guy. Even if someone could escalate to violence.. by that time.. I’m already gone.
It’s my guess that it is possible he is only doing it for show. I surely hope he doesn’t shoot like an actual paparazzi. Sometimes it take a lot of courage and discomfort for your own self to stay in a scene to get the shot.. but you would be surprised how much “discomfort” goes away if you just keep moving.
Last thing.. you fail to see the moment where connection is being made.
Photography has an interesting way of connecting you to the people around you. You all of sudden finding yourself having conversations you wouldn’t normally have.. In short.. you break people and your self out of monotony and this discomfort thing all balances out.
