Home is Where the Heart Is

1x1.trans Home is Where the Heart Is

After traveling for the last several months, I really enjoyed the last two weeks relaxing and recuperating in East Lansing, my new home in Michigan with Cindy. It has helped me work on some writing that I have been meaning to do (on Magnum Contact Sheets and Bruce Davidson) and catch up on some work. I still have a lot of work to do, but wanted to make this video recapping some of my thoughts about traveling, the importance of friends & family, and the privilege it is to stay at home with your loved ones.

I’m heading to LA today for an interesting project I’m not able to talk about at the moment, but will keep you guys all updated in the next few weeks.

Thanks again for all of your endless support and words of encouragement, it keeps me going! Also if anyone wants to meet up in LA this week, leave a comment below!

Keep posting Eric, nice to hear you’re doing great as always!
Whenever people say nasty things about you on the Internet, don’t even let a second of it ruin your mind. I think makes no sense to get upset over some random stranger over the net who obviously don’t know what you do.

Btw, do write about Robert Frank’s “The American”. I’m so curious about it but it’s really tough to find/buy that book.

Hey Eric, keep up the great work!

When it comes to the haters, I have 2 words of advice: Ignore them!!!!!!! They’re just jealous!

I love what you do, and I think you’ve created a great business model that you can be proud of. It helps others while giving you the opportunity to prosper. What could be better than that?! If you get to the point where a $45k car awaits your return from abroad, and you have a fine German or Swiss watch on your left wrist to play as a counterpoint to your Leica in your right hand – more power to you!

I hope to attend your workshops in the future! If you can post on-location videos of recent and upcoming workshops, that would be fantastic!

    Peace out!
    Keith.

Eric, great to have you back, so to speak. I know exactly what you mean about travel, in the end you realise there’s so much to shoot on your own doorstep, and like you, I’m a bit of a home person. Loving your book reviews, like you, I’m a huge book purchaser and it’s always great to get other’s book insights. I’m currently reading Pierre Assouline’s HCB biography, it’s a must have book for HCB fans. Keep up the great work. MarkB

Eric, you’re awesome and an inspiration. Without some of your blog posts I wouldn’t be where I am regarding street photography. I also think you have a great outlook on life. You seem like a good dude. Keep up the good work!
