The 65+ Best Street Photographs from my Intro to Street Photography Workshop in Chicago with Jason Martini

I see some good shots there, but the best ones IMO are Eric’s first two. Enjoyed those the most.

Also, I’ve read numerous times how important it is to get close in street photography. I agree with that, but there are a couple on this page that are good but I think would be better if they were a few feet back., kinda when I see a photo of someone cropped at the knees, etc. I like the photo but I know I would like it more if I could see this person in the environment they’re in. Just my two cents.

The shots from Rod Winn seem to have a certain consistency of style that I like. In your recent interview with Justin Vogel he talks about developing a consistent style that I think is important. The photos are all similar aspect ratio and shot at a similar focal length which works well. They also seem to have interesting backgrounds rather than simply being done “street portrait” style.

Other shots that stand out are Sam Lozano’s top shot with the buses in the background.

Some real talent here.

Great collection! But where are photos? Probably it would be better to display them on the post directly. Or maybe I have some troubles with the browser and others see photos right here…
